Elf Academy 3: The Enemy Within  by Fiondil 14 Review(s)

I'm glad to get a glimpse of what's going on in Fairbanks now.

Namo's little talk with the brothers was quite enlightening. So, the idea of children does not inspire the younger Elves of Valinor at all. Not good. Not good at all, and I can see why the Valar are worried.

I'm also wondering about the selective editing of the ap Hywel's family history--who chose those specific details to leave out and why? I hope that we at least find out a little bit about it.

Author Reply: Hi Dreamflower. We'll stick with Fairbanks for another chapter before heading back to Wiseman.

The situation in Valinor isn't good at all but there are forces at work to counter what has happened. The Elves of Valinor need to regain estel if they hope to succeed in the coming war. Right now they are defeated before they've even begun.

As for the selective editing of family history, who can truly say who altered the details or even why. It happened, but luckily, the ap Hywels now have the chance to learn the true story and that's all that matters.

Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it very much.

t is obviously weird for Gwyn and Gareth to have other Elves than themselves and their parents around. It seems that they are adapting, though, and maybe there will even be a bit of Romance for one or both of them?
Interesting how bits have fallen out of what history has been told to Gwyn and Gareth (ahd their parents, too, I guess.)
I guess a wedding invitation will be a good reason for Gwyn and Garet's parents to come and meet some other Elves, and I'm certainly looking forwards to your descriptions of it.

BTW, this is obviously their dad's song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZGINaRUEkU
I don't know what melody wod be their mother's but I know what would certainy be her favorite website: http://smartbitchestrashybooks.com/ If you need something to laugh at some time, go there and read some of the F reviews - they are hysterical!

Author Reply: Hi Sunny. Thanks for the links. I'll have to look at them over the weekend.

Yes, it has to be weird for Gwyn and Gareth to suddenly have other Elves around, weird and perhaps even a bit uncomfortable. And don't worry, we'll actually meet their parents when they come for the wedding. I'm sure you'll find them both amusing and interesting. At least, I've tried to make them so.

Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it.

This was a great Friday chapter. We got a smiling Nano, more information on our new brothers, good news from Amroth and more insight into Alex. I really enjoyed all of it. Before Nate showed up, I was thinking Gwin and Garath's families might be Feanoran. I am not sure now, but as Nate said the story was altered for a reason. Sending the book to their parents is a great idea.

Hope you have a fabulous weekend. I am on my way to my annual weekend, off-planet. I am going to ShoreLeave where Richard Dean Anderson is speaking and Leonard Nimoy is supposed to Skype.

Author Reply: Hi UTfrog. I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter. The ap Hywel brothers are a mix of Vanyarin, Sindarin and Noldorin bloodlines and they are not related to the Fëanoreans. We'll learn a bit more about them and their parents later in the story.

Your weekend sound way more fun than mine will be. Have a great time. I envy you seeing Richard Dean Anderson, one of my favorite actors. And Leonard Nimoy even via Skype will be a treat.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I appreciate you doing so very much.

Gwyn and Gareth appears to have some history of their past. Hope that will answer a few of their questions. The wedding, it will be the event of a lifetime. And old friends might be able to chat about things as they were and how they are now. :) I am hoping that Elrond and Celebrian make it for the wedding. LOL!

Author Reply: Hi Laer. Hopefully some of their questions will be answered. And the wedding will indeed by the event of a lifetime as far as Wiseman is concerned. We'll see who does and does not show up for the wedding. ;-) Thanks for reviewing. I appreciate it.
