| You have a really good sense of plot, Faith. The different parts of the story all are believable and all are gripping (even the memories of the past). Also, you do a good job of giving different personalities to each of Thranduil's children. That really struck me in this chapter. Poor Thranduil. He has suffered so much loss. I guess that is the fate of Elves in Middle-earth. I trust you are not going to add to his problems! | |

| You've really done a good job of keeping all parts of your story going: Legolas, Thalion, Thrandiul, Lomion, and so on. The family is all coming alive with distinctive personalities. And I, for one, don't believe that Thalion is dead! | |

I like how you've gone more into Thalion also, and would like to see more of Legolas' family as well(as you have eluded to that you would). I personally can not wait to read more! | Yes, yes! More Thalion. I liked that part a lot. He and his wife are very believable together. The plans for checking on the orcs and spiders were well developed. I know how hard that kind of strategic thing can be to think of. And the young warriors out on patrol are well done too. You can see that they are trying to behave themselves but are strongly tempted by youthful high spirits. | |

| What a nice opening chapter. Lots of detail and very interesting characters with intriguing relationships to one another. You've also got your readers wondering about the dangers into which Legolas and, for me, Thalion, are riding. I look forward to more. | |

| This is a really nice start! I can't wait to see where you take the story. Only suggestion is to watch the small grammer things (of instead of if or things like that). Hope you'll be able to update sooner then you think. :) | |
