| Intriguing start to the story. It will be interesting to see the events unfold through the eyes of different characters. I loved the fire side tale from Legolas at the end. Legolas is clearly not just a superior human, but has other qualities. | Oh, yes, I will continue reading whatever else you post for this story! You have very quickly piqued my interest. The first paragraph drops us straight into an unknown peril. Then you quickly show us how it began. A quick, impulsive journey, indeed. I only hope Eomer's assistant can convince the White Company to do what would be best. At this point, tho, that may be hard to see. I must say, if I had to journey into unknown peril with only two quardians, I can not think of two better than the Captain of the Ithilien Rangers and the archer Prince of the Greenwood. Next question would be, how much trouble can they and Eomer get into before the month is up and Aragorn and his guard can be summoned for help! I very much like the imagery of the scene around the fire, where Legolas compares the Greenwood menaced by Sauron to a bright fire casting dark shadows. I could just see it!
