Elf Academy Part Deux  by Fiondil 13 Review(s)

Ooch, that gas was something that I didn't expect...And that does NOT sound like something that the Agency would approve of, gasing civilians, and especially using a weapon used by what who can safely assume are the Agency's enemies. To me, there's no doubt now that Farrell is working for a higher and much darker force.

Glorfindel's sparring match sounds intense and like it let out a lot of his stress. And God, would that be awesome to watch...In my martial arts studio, for a "birthday gift" (-eyeroll-), they brought out the foam swords and had me spar with everybody in class that day, instructors included. I wish Glorfindel was there to tutor me, since I'm an absolute failure with a sword...or any other type of weapon. XD

Great chapter, and eagerly looking forward to Monday's!

Whispy.

Author Reply: Hi Whipsy. No, that is definitely that the Agency would newer approve of at all.

Glad you liked the sword fight. I've never done any even with foam swords, though in college I did do fencing which I enjoyed.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I appreciate it very much.

Glorfindel is probably correct and the 'Bozos' are enjoying tea with Lord Namo at the moment.

I also don't think he should be so dismissive of the 'Godless Elves Contingent' either, I have a feeling they can and will cause some trouble in the future.

I did enjoy the sword fight, I hope Glorfy is feeling better after his workout.

Hm, looks like Elladan has an admirer too!(Smirk!)

How are you doing, are you able to work a full day yet? Take it easy this weekend, no 10 mile hikes through the wilderness, just a gentle strole through the market!

Huggs,
Lynda

Author Reply: Hi Lynda. We'll find out about the fate of the 'bozos' in the next chapter.

Glorfindel and the other Wiseman Elves have been battling the 'Godless Elves COntingent' for the last two years, trying to win them over, but some people are so afraid to look outside themselves that they can't accept anything or anyone who doesn't adhere strictly to their own way of thinking. That threatens whatever sense of security they've created for themselves and they're not about to change their minds about things. I'm sure you've met such people along the way; I know I have.

I'm glad you liked the sword figth and it does look as if Elladan has an admirier, doesn't it? *grin*

As for me, I'm doing well enouogh. Except for Monday, I've managed to get through a full-day's work all the other days of the week without too much trouble so I think I'm finally gettng there. I'm still taking it easy but I do hope to go out to Beaver Lake on Sunday. I don't intend to do any 10-mile hikes, but the nature center has some short easy trails that are no more than half a mile long with benches along the way so you can sit. It'll be probably another month before I'm ready to hike around the lake (3 miles), which is the longest trail there.

Anyway, thanks for commenting. It's greatly appreciated.

Whew! I'd have loved to have been in the gymnasium to watch that fight!

However, even covering their ears can't hide the fact that Glorfindel and company are more than mortal after this display. But Glorfindel definitely needed the release and I'm guessing he managed to get some sleep after leaving the police station. I still think he needs to have some counseling (hopefully, sooner rather than later and it won't have a certain Valar as the counselor) and he still should go run with some wolves for a bit.

I'm very glad that Alex has contacted Mattie. But from the sounds of it, she's not going to be able to do much about Farrell. It looks like the nutcase is working for someone else entirely (now who might that be? There are a number of interesting, and frankly scary, possibilities).

I'm glad to see that Derek seems to be handling things pretty well and that Alex has calmed down a bit. However, I'm not sure how long that will last if Glorfindel pulls another "Because you're only a measly human and I said so!" act on him. And if that happens... brrrr... Wiseman may not be left standing.

A wonderfully written chapter, meldonya, very balanced between conversation, thoughts and action! Bravissimi! I look forward to the next installment.

Author Reply: Hi Edlyn. I'm sure that some of the students were scratching their heads, wondering about their teachers and administrators after this, though I suspect a few were already in the know. As for Glorfindel running with the wolves, that's not likely to happen, but counseling sounds like a good idea. *grin*

We'll see how effective Maddie is as we get toward the end of the story. She'll be making an appearance by then.

And we'll see how the relationship between the Elves and Alex and Derek progresses. There will still be some major bumps in the road before they sort things out.

Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it very much.
