A Long-Expected Wedding  by Fiondil 11 Review(s)
Malice2Reviewed Chapter: 9 on 8/3/2011
At first I was like "But why are they so mean?" Really, can you get more immature than these people in the kitchen?...

But then in the end I was wondering "how can they be so unprofessional?" I mean, it's one stupid thing to antagonize 2 important people who are close to the king. It's another entirely to spoil the dinner of your king when you want to become a professional cook. It's not the kind of thing that could get you punished, I think, but more something that could get you fired outright if you're not careful.

On another note, though Arafinwë's punishment of Finrod and Glorfindel seems quite justified, he didn't quite answer Glorfindel's opinion that, out of respect for Finrod, the prince should be able to make decisions regarding his own life...

Nice and funny story, I love it.

Author Reply: Hi Malice. Well, I suspect that those who are causing trouble in the kitchen are being loyal to Isildil and are wreaking revenge on Finrod and Glorfindel for getting him demoted. None of them are masters yet and it looks as if they will be a long time getting their masterships after this.

I'm glad you think Arafinwë's punishment of Finrod and Glorfindel was justified. As Finrod pointed out, he's as much a subject of the King as any in Tirion and Arafinwë has the right to punish him if necessary.

Thanks for reading and reviewing and I'm happy to know you are enjoying this story. I appreciate you telling me.
