Well said. Faithfullness is a quality all should display. Author Reply: Yes, and how true that is in Tolkien's world particularly! Thanks so, Tari.

Great characterization of Elros, who is a priest-king in the best sense of the word here, honoring the powers and not forgetting what they are owed; and remembering both the good and bad of the Eldar. Looking forward to more! Author Reply: Yes, the first Priest-King of Numenor, and one who honors his roots fully. Will be updating twice a week until all five vignettes are posted. Thanks so, Raksha.

I love this little vignette--especially these lines: "Faithfulness must grow, even as the Tree must grow. It must be nurtured and husbanded. I fear that without such reminders as this our people must fail in the end; and my blessings will ever be on those who are faithful to the Tree and the covenant it symbolizes." Very well said! Author Reply: He must have been aghast to see to what many of his descendants came. And faithfulness does need to be nurtured. Thanks so for the feedback, Cairistiona.

I really love Elros' wisdom; his words about faithfullness, Valar and life are so true. Beautifully done. Author Reply: I'm so glad you appreciate them. Thank you so, Ellyn. I'll be posting the other vignettes about every three days or so--won't take very long.
