I wasn't reading the earlier story but just took a peek here and found this chapter very thrilling. Very nice! Author Reply: There's a lot of backstory there, LOL! I hope you will enjoy this one!

YES!!!! I've been waiting for this one for a while, and I'm thrilled to see it starting to appear. Thankyou for putting the link in your LJ. I can see this one is starting out just as well as the stories that came before it, and I am anxious to see what adventures await our hobbits. You know you are one of a very few writers who I think get the characterizations right and write hobbits in a manner that I find believable. You'll be hearing from me again, I'm certain, now that I actually know to have a story to watch for here. Welcome back, meldis nîn!! Cuio mae. Aeärwen Author Reply: I know there are many who have been waiting for this sequel to appear! I am determined to make sure that this one does not have any long gaps, as R2E did. I'm so glad you like my characerizations of the hobbits-- I try my best to make them as true as I can to JRRT's own vision of them. It's good to know that my intepretations ring true to my readers! Thank you very much!

What an unusual concept for a story this is! I really like the idea of other, ordinary hobbits travelling to Minas Tirith. Looking forward to seeing more of this ! Author Reply: I'm glad to get this started. The perspective of ordinary hobbits to the world of Men is not one we are given in canon, so it's fun to imagine what those reactions will be.

So glad you are continuing Freddy's story (and the others of the Shire delegation, of course). Their overwhelmed reaction to the White City was appropriately hobbitty. "pheriannath ... that is to say, for hobbits” -- Well, at least he didn't call them "halflings." Trust Aragorn to notice Mistress Poppy's knee! Psst -- Ondahil still isn't sure what time the hobbits will have their audience. Author Reply: Yes, thankfully I've been alerted to that, and it is now fixed, LOL! I thought I *had* fixed it, but apparently I forgot to hit "save". No, the King is trying to get the citizens to call them "hobbits", with mixed success. And yes, he is thouhtful about things like that. As a middle-aged lady with cranky knees myself, I am always appreciative of a king who will help one to stand!
