"..she came to comprehend the choice of Elros" I don't think I've ever truly understood it before, but this makes perfect sense, as does Arwen's reason for falling in love with Aragorn. Men, on the other hand, seemed so much at home in their little islands of time. here was someone whose life truly mattered. And thus her heart had chosen him, to share in a life that had meaning and weight. He had been her anchor in time This is beautifully written.
