Well, I am a very new viewer! Whatever it is, keep up with that interesting one!

I'm so glad Frodo's awake! Poor Sam! But I just adored the image of him wielding sword and...pan in defense of Bill. You painted that picture so perfectly! And I love your Gimli!

Wow! Very exciting! From the dying leeches to the battle to save Sam and Bill, very edgy and suspenseful. Well done, Budgie :-) I'm always glad to see an update on this story!

I never thought I could feel sorry for leeches! Poor things! But Frodo is already recovering, and will be better with Sam by him. And Bill is apparently safe--no poisoned blade used on him, apparently!

Aragorn is so heroic and I love the way they all try to help poor Frodo.A gripping chapter.

Sucking a snakebite and cleansing the blood via leeches--two procedures that aren't much used any more, thank heavens, although they have their place, I understand. Poor Frodo! Now, what is keeping poor Sam?

It was indeed brave of Aragorn to suck the poison out. Only one tiny cut in his mouth would have been enough to poison him, too. But it was even braver of Merry to offer to do it in his stead. Wow! I love Merry in this story! And how Boromir obtained those leeches! Oh my! Last but not least: the cliffhanger! That one really took me by surprise. What on Middle Earth could have happened to Sam and Bill? Knowing you, I'll expect the worst - to be on the safe side ;-)

This is another wonderful chapter. I'm as grossed out by the leeches as Pippin. The mental image of Boromir's arm being covered in them just about did me in,but it was a very brave and noble thing for Boromir to do. As awful as the leeches are, I am glad that Aragorn had the presence of mind to think of using them if they can help Frodo. Now I'm worried about Sam and Bill. What's keeping them?

You know, I don't get much time to read fanfic these days, but I always enjoy your pieces. I've held off reading this one till there were a few chapters to read, because I know how you are with cliffhangers, but you still caught me with one! Argh! Excellent, exciting story, that keeps the reader glued to the page - and a brave, mature and noble Frodo - just the way I like him! *Grin* The only problem is, now I have to wait for more chapters!

Oh mercy! What an exciting and tense chapter! I loved the way some of the company knew what Aragorn was going to do, and tried to advise against it. And the description of Boromir gathering the leeches from Pippin's POV was done beautifully--the combination of revulsion at the means, and yet hope that it would work came out so well!
