What an extraordinary good fic! Please, continue - hopefully your muses will come back soon! I am certainly looking forward to a new chapter of this!

This is good so far. Do write more soon.

Author Reply: Thanks for letting me know that you like my story so far, Esquire of Rohan :-)

Unfortunately, I am suffering a severe case of writer's block that lasts for more than two years, and while I am still willing to finish this story some day, it won't be any time soon.

Great story! I love the way you handled Gimli and Legolas's reactions to Boromir's betrayal, and also the conflicting emotions Boromir felt-resentment that they should treat him like that, but also knowing he deserved it. Eomer was also very well done-he's my favourite male book character, and you handled him stupendously.
Do try to keep the interrogation chapters under four...please? :-)
Keep up the good work, and please update soon!

Author Reply: Thank you for your review, Merilwen. I hope it will help to beat coax my recalcitrant muses back into cooperation.

I am currently revising/rewriting the part of the story that is posted so far, so updates might take another few months. But I am still working on it, so stay tuned (though I do have five rather than four interrogation chapters planned >:-))

Hi. I really enjoy your story. It's nice how you parallel the book. Did notice one typo. In the last sentence of the fifth paragraph from the bottom, you typed "waver" instead of "wafer".

Author Reply: Thanks for catching that typo. And thanks for taking the time to review :-)

Doomed to Live is undergoing some major rewriting at the moment, so I'll fix it when I post the revised version.

Pleas, write!

Author Reply: Uh, I am doing what I can. However, real life has other plans for me *big sigh*. Maybe, one of these days, I can acutally stay at home on all the overtime I've worked these past weeks and get some writing done.

Anyway, I take it that you kind of like my story? Thanks for the review:-)

RL should come first, and I hope everything works out as planned. Best wishes for you! But - really - truly - Interrogations III is planned? Gross! Do you keep in mind that poor Aragorn, y'know, that's the son of Arathorn, is the heir of the throne of Gondor? And that he should reach the end of this story and be still able to climb the steps and receive the crown? I mean, without him either being carried up or climbing on all fours? LOL! -- Sorry for that rambling. I look forward to the next chapter... yes, I do *vbg*.

Timmy

Author Reply: Thanks for reviewing AGAIN :-) RL has turned my world upside down (in a literal sense - that's what moving does to you).

Erm, yes, Interrogation III is planned ... as is Interrogation IV ... unless I find a more fitting chapter title, which I doubt ;-)

And who said Aragorn will reach that throne in the end?

*fliewatuet slinks away, cackling manically*

Wow, that was a tough one! And a good one, too. I marvel at your style, fliwatuet, giving the reader so much information and detail without ever overdoing or boring him! Great job here. My favorite lines: a) 'To admit defeat was bad enough; he would not let Borsúk see the extent of it.' = Excellent summary of the king's bravery faced with the terrible odds. b) '... the Orc had taken hold of his hair again, a habit he found rather annoying, for Borsúk stank.' = You managed to slip in a little joke inmid all the horrible things that are done to Aragorn. Yet, honestly, fliwatuet, this was a deep grip into the 'Aragorn-torture' chest, ey? Calling this 'interrogations' (euphemism of the day), I'm quite interested in what part two will hold in store.

Keep up the good work!

Cheers,
Timmy

Author Reply: Thanks for the praise! Its wonderful to hear from you again. BTW there will also be a chapter 'Interrogation III' *evil smile*, but it will take a while until it will be finished. Real Life (TM) is keeping me busy. If I (and my readers) am lucky, I'll have the next chapter ready by the end of September :-(

This is so good! Please write some more!

Author Reply: Thanks! I am working on the upcoming chapters, but Real Life has a busy summer planned for me, so don't expect any updates before the end of September.

I love this story. Aragorn - angst/torture.... I love it...lol

Please please UPDATE soon. I am growing rather impatient.

Author Reply: Thanks for the review. I fear I have to try your patience, though. I will be quite busy this summer with travelling, moving and having guests, so it might well be September until the next chapter is ready. So don't hold your breath ;-)

Yay, glad you finally posted! I really liked the interaction between Ugluk and Borsuk. Ugluk seems definitely the more practical one. Don't hurt your captive to the point where you'll have to carry him! I don't think there's going to be much left of Aragorn to take to Saruman; I hope Legolas and Gimli catch up with him soon. It looks like Gandalf to the rescue; maybe he can help them out a bit.

Author Reply: Hi, meckinock!

Borsúk thinks he's cleverer than Uglúk and he sure has his own thing going. But I think this chapter showed why Uglúk is the boss.

And as far as Aragorn is concerned, I can assure you that there is enough left of him. He has to last for a while :-) (and that's all I will say about his fate for now)

Thanks for the review,
