LOL Now that was funny!

Author Reply: Thanks!

I love this. It's such a complete brother/sister thing.

Author Reply: For some reason, it's family emotion scenes that always seem to get me the most, and what I always seem to go back to writing.

LindeleaReviewed Chapter: 1 on 3/18/2007
Aww. And he might never come back. And that's not the half of it.

I'd love to know what became of that handkerchief. And to be a fly on the wall to see the scene with Pervinca and Pippin, when Pippin returns, to fetch archers to help throw the ruffians out of the Shire.

Author Reply: Hmm, I know a hint when I hear one. :-) Maybe someday...ya never know...

LindeleaReviewed Chapter: 3 on 3/18/2007
I've often wondered that, myself. And my characters seem to be of the same mind. (Excepting the healers, of course, who are often apologising that the draught doesn't taste worse. Not as bitter as it might be, but then we were pressed for time.

*g*

Thanks for the smiles this evening.

Author Reply: You're ever so welcome. :-)

I thought perhaps they'd be drinking The Real Thing in the celebration scene, or proclaiming that Things Go Better With Coke. (Or Pippin might have muttered to himself, creeping away with the Palantir, You only go around once in life. So grab for the gusto!

Have wasted way too many of my formative years in front of the boob tube.

Author Reply: Me too, obviously. :-)

LOL!

Geico ads can be amusing, true.

Author Reply: I got a little sick of the gecko ones, but I'm enjoying the current ones about the downtrodden, hyper-sensitive cavemen. :-)

MithLuinReviewed Chapter: 2 on 3/18/2007
Ha, very funny! I am familiar with those ads (being from the US), and that is perfect. The other thing I've heard done with this scene is to interpret "a great host, you say?" as Theoden taking a compliment for the hospitality of his hall, which is much improved with Grima gone ;).

Author Reply: I've always enjoyed the Geico ads, especially the ones I just spoofed, and the ones with the hypersensitive cavemen. :-)

An eternal question we can all identify with, for certain. Even today, when they have supposedly tried to make them taste better. Nice drabble. :-)

Author Reply: Thanks.

Maybe it has to do with some outdated wisdom about the worse it tastes, the better it must be. :-)

elliskaReviewed Chapter: 1 on 3/18/2007
Very sweet moment between brother and sister. :-)

Author Reply: It's based somewhat on me and my own sister...but the sweet moment hasn't exactly happened yet, sigh.

elliskaReviewed Chapter: 2 on 3/18/2007
Hehehe! I'm surprised we haven't seen that commercial yet!

Author Reply: Maybe they'll do a revival of that campaign someday...like the "I can't believe I ate the whole thing" ones.
