| Yeah, I've already reviewed, and I tend to get on people's nerves with not-so-subtle "indirect begging" (but if I said I was ashamed of that right now I'd be telling a fib *grins*), but I had to let you know this has been in the back of my mind constantly for the last two days tantalizing me! And I also forgot to tell you my favourite part: Frodo stirred against him, looking up into his eyes. “Nothing is certain, Sam, not even there in the Undying Lands. And my heart is here.” He turned his head on Sam’s shoulder. “My heart is here, here in the Shire,” he murmured as his eyes closed once more. Oh, it just makes me want to cry, but I love it. Okay, I'll leave you alone. :) God bless, Galadriel Author Reply: No getting on my nerves. Now, Hughes.net is getting on my nerves, the connection from home has become so blamed iffy! I am about to scream and yell about getting my money back for the new satellite modem, as this is becoming such a great problem! And I do think the question of whether or not Frodo would accept the offer to go to Tol Eressea would not have been answered until late in the game. Now you know why I believe he would have decided not to go if that was his end decision. | |

| Thank you so much for this lovely glimpse of Sam and his children. Sam has done a beautiful job of instilling a love of Frodo into the hearts of each of them. Sam's description of how Frodo would have interacted with the children is so much in keeping with the way I imagine Sam would describe such events that I can vividly hear his voice as he speaks. I'm off to read the next chapter. Author Reply: Oh, I'm so glad you can hear that voice, too. I think they'd grow up with an understanding of just how much their father and mother, and especially their father, was devoted to Uncle Frodo. | |

| Oh my! Where is this leading to, I wonder? Some reviewers said there were two possible ways. I can only see one! Even if Sam wanted to follow his master, Frodo would never allow him to be separated from Rosie and Elanor, never ever! He's a stubborn Baggins after all! But what will happen then? He's so fragile and spent! But I've no doubt that he will stay! Please, update soon! Author Reply: I see only the one way, myself, for realizing Frodo won't go and will just get more stubborn to try to make Sam stay seems just so in keeping with Frodo as we know him. No, he does NOT want Sam to leave his family--not now when his life as an adult and husband and father are just beginning. | |
