I've never really thought about what the disembodied elves would get up to in the Halls of Waiting, this is an interesting look at what might happen. I can't wait to read what happens next!
Author Reply: I never could get my mind around the image of elves just floating around doing nothing until they were ready to be re-embodied. I always figured there would be some purpose to their existence in Mandos and came up with the idea that they would be given the opportunity to relearn being children again, their fëar returned to their original state of innocence. |
