Neath Anor, Ithil, and Gil  by Larner 14 Review(s)

This is just lovely! So nice to see the Gaffer get his due, as he so often does not! And what a nice day for him!

Author Reply: Yes, the Gaffer deserves his moments of praise for raising such a worthy son, not to mention the rest of the family's worth! Thanks so much, Dreamflower!

A lovely Father's Day tale! It's wonderful that the Gaffer finally tells Sam he's proud of him, and appreciates everything he is, and has accomplished.

Author Reply: To admit Sam wasn't a ninnyhammer after all must have been both difficult and rewarding for the old fellow. I've honored the mothers who might read my stories--this is for the dads!

Beautiful, Larner. I'm all teary. A special and wonderful day indeed!

Thank you :-)

Author Reply: Thank you, Pearl. This was among the last years of old Hamfast's life, and I'd think his children would want to find some way of bringing him full circle so he could see how his devotion to his family had paid off. So glad it moved you.

That was lovely!

Author Reply: Thank you, Lindelea. I did one for Mothers Day--had to get in a proper tribute for Dads, too. See you next week.
