Letters  by Elanor Silmariën 50 Review(s)

So nice to see another batch of letters! I love that Frodo is enjoying translating his tale because of who he is doing it for, saying he is missing Sam and having fun being sick with Merry. I remember my sister and I being sick once and we were competing for who could have a higher fever (not that we were encouraging it of course, it just happened) and it's always good to use that opportunity to catch up on reading!

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Lol! That's funny! I don't remember if my little brother and I ever competed for higest fever, but we've competed to see who could stay sick the longest and not have to do school work. Glad you're liking these!
God bless,
Ellie

I am glad that Sam does get to learn some elvish. I would love to learn it too but RL gets in the way as well as reading these many wonderful stories. I will just have to get by with the little I learn from them.

And Ted is really, really nasty!

Author Reply: Elvish would be fun to learn! At the moment I am learning Latin, and that is somewhat like Elvish. I really like it. But I would like to learn Sindarin next. Thanks for reviewing!
God bless,
Ellie

Nah, I'm with Sam--leave them with no other company than their own, and let them suffer so no one else has to. I'll admit I tend to get vindictive with such folk, but want them to punish themselves. Heh!

And let's have the animals fight a nice, scary dragon that they conquer with ease! Yes!

Author Reply: Lol! I doubt they'd be able to stand each other, even though they are much alike! If you have an adventure, you must have a dragon, right? Or so Frodo and Merry think. Lol!
God bless,
Ellie

I've often wished to lock folk I find tiresome up together--such as the hackers who've sent the viruses that have clogged up my computer's memory. I HATE hackers, you know.

And hope that Sam gets to hear that story soon.

Author Reply: Viruses... *shudders* I know what you mean. Thanks for reviewing!
God bless,
Ellie

Ah, Ted isn't a very nice Hobbit, is he? And I'd be wary of any get-well message that might originate with him.

Love the little "inside" adventures they must experience as Frodo and Merry can't go out right now.

Author Reply: Yes indeed. Not very nice at all. I used to do that with my best friend if we didn't feel good or if it was raining outside, we'd play with our stuffed animals and have all sorts of adventures!
God bless,
Ellie

These are so adorable! You have me imagining all the wonderful adventures the stuffed animals are having, and I can picture Frodo and Sam eagerly awaiting the post every day to see if they have a letter from the other.

Author Reply: Hmmm... maybe I should write the adventures of Merry's stuffed animals? Glad you're liking this!
God bless,
Ellie

Oh poor Sam, the trees before Moria must have been dreadful for him but, hopefully, Lothlorien helped. And nasty, nasty Ted!

Author Reply: *shudders* Ted bothers me. I'm sure Lothlorien helped alot, but if he'd seen Fangorn... :)
God bless,
Ellie

Am loving the discussion on vocabulary.

Author Reply: Glad you're liking it! I love words, so I put as many big ones in as possible!
God bless,
Ellie

What is this? A competition in spending time in bed? Can I join in please?

Author Reply: Lol! We can all do that! I'd like it very much, since I think I'm getting a cold, and it's not fun. I wonder who'd win??
God bless,
Ellie

Oh poor Frodo. I hope that the post is quicker than ours here.
