On the Anduin  by Gentle Hobbit 15 Review(s)

Hannon le for this! I love the TLC Frodo gets from his Pip. I think I would be the same way and run away. When my oldest nephew was only about 5 or 6 his father had to take out a sliver from his hand and there was so much pain in that room, so much crying and begging not to have more pain, that I just had to leave. I stood it as long as I could and then left so I understand what Pippin felt.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: It's pretty nasty stuff, I know. I almost prefer to have the pain myself than to watch someone else go through it! I'm glad that you liked the TLC. This story was rather heavy on the 'h', so I'm glad the 'c' worked!

Oh, this is my favorite kind of story. Thank you so much for writing and sharing it with us.

I am so excited to finally meet you!!! But, I must warn you, I tend to be a bit...exuberant, which can be a bit overwhelming for most. When I meet you I will be so excited I may come off a bit nutsy. It's funny because I have a phobia of people. I truly dislike humans, preferring the company of my dog. This does not transend to my hobbit family, however. I do worry needlessly about silly things. I am already worried that I will be too tired to take in every single moment of our gathering. And that it will be too short a time to be together, and that I will be very depressed at our parting. Silly things, that will only try to take away from the joy of our reunion. I won't let them. Once we are together I will be living for the moment until we part. Love to you and I can only say one word in parting...SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Author Reply: I'm glad you enjoyed it. I certainly enjoyed writing and sharing it.

I'm also looking forward to next month. :)

I really think this story is one of your best, GH, and that's saying a lot. This is the courageous, perceptive Frodo I love so much, surrounded by his supportive Fellowship. You've really captured the characters wonderfully here. Everyone does their best, most particularly Pippin, who discovers that whatever one can give -- even if it's just the smallest loving gesture -- can be enough.

Author Reply: Thank you, Janet! Your lovely review has left me "purring pleased" as my Mum would say. Writing this story has turned out to be such a rewarding experience and I'm so glad that I decided to take on the Spring Challenge.
