| oh no, what a cliff-hanger! This is a nice build-up chapter for the events that are about to come... I enjoyed the last chapter too and really hope to see the reason for Merry's disturbed nature soon (which is probably having to do with anniversary of the Witch-king slaying, i think) =) please continue soon~ :) Author Reply: Thank you for such nice words. | Poor Merry and Pippin, not really knowing what to expect--and Merry worrying about Frodo, too! I love the concern of Merry's family, and all the gentle care Pippin shows him. | I liked the mention of how Merry and Pippin talk without saying anything out loud. I thought Berilac did the right thing by reporting a bit of trouble because it seems Saradoc and Esmeralda's visit was good for Merry and it did seem to help him open up to Pippin after they left. | This was awesome. Merry and Pippin struggling to vent their emotions after returning to the Shire, and leaning on one another for support. I can definitely see this bothering Merry--its never easy to articulate the state of one's mind. Very clever and well done! There *is* more...isn't there? :-) Greedy me. | Oh, I am so happy to see this here! I was looking for the third chapter last week on LJ and couldn't find it--I was feart that I had some how missed it. Again, this is a wonderful beginning! Berilac didn't have great news for them, but as parents do they had to check on them.... i like the confrontation between Merry and his parents, and Pippin as well, you can see how they care for each other...
