I do love this one. I adore happy AUs and this is very happy indeed!

I so wish this had happened, myself.

Love the image of Frodo throwing his daughter, named for his best friend, up in the air and teaching her she will ever be caught by loving hands. And I can think of few worthier hands for her to be caught by.

Sad, yet in the end the hope was met, and he found succor--and more still when he accepted the grace offered him.

Thanks.

Author Reply: Oh Larner. I'm so sorry. I just saw the email today. It has been buried with al those junk mails.

Thank you so much for reading and giving me feedback. You are always so supportive. ♥

That's so sad! You know, in one thing it was good that Primula didn't see him return. It would have broken her heart. But watching from the distance probably wasn't much easier.

Author Reply: Oh, I agree with you. It must be so hard to see your son suffer so. :'(

Thank you so much for reading, Lily!

Wow! Primula and Our Lady of Sorrows do have much in common, don't they? I never thought of that. Very interesting.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: I just realized that when I read the poem. It was so sad. :(

Thank you very much, Antane! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

My friend Jeannette's daughter when that age did just this, also--identifying animals by the sounds they made. Oh, I can see this very well, Frodo giving Merry a moment to show what all he'd learned.

Author Reply: :D

Those babies must be very cute!

Thank you Larner, and I'm so sorry for the lateness.

Perhaps a bit movie-verse as Frodo prepares to leave behind an Elanor capable of thinking the doll's presence will comfort him as well as comfort the doll; but so much a realistic look at Frodo's realization that although he must leave to find the healing he needs, yet a part of his heart dwells ever here.

Author Reply: Yes, it's more movie verse. And Frodo knows he will always remain in the Shire in such a way. Thank you, Larner.

In the end it was the wash of waves that helped ease the pain engendered by the Ring, after all. Legolas and he together perhaps recognize they both suffer from the same malady, although Legolas will hold his at bay until Aragorn is gone from this world. But there is reassurance in knowing one is not alone.

Author Reply: Oh, I always love your interpretation. Thank you, Larner. *hugs*
