This one I've read before, this expression of Legolas's own sea longing. And I love it as well the second time as I did the first.

Frodo, at the moment Legolas kills the first fell beast carrying the Nazgul west of the River. How very hobbity that he thinks to dig down into the earth to hide! And he is so clearly identifying with Legolas and the nature of Elves.

This one truly has me in tears, Primsong. What a beautiful expression of Frodo's leaving, and the reason so many choose to leave with him. Thank you so very much. This has to be one of the most beautiful LOTR poems I've read by any but the Master himself. And I hope his birthday brought you joy.

What a wonderful look at this Elf Haven east of the Sea, the reflection of the gardens of the West. Thank you, Primsong.

Lovely, Primsong. Very much an expression of the grief, both real and augmented by the Black Breath he suffers.

Somehow, Primsong, I managed to miss this one. This is a wonderful manner in which to remember Legolas's sea longing.

This is amazingly brilliant! I am in awe of your skills as a poet. I love poetry with structure--I feel it is more challenging than that which is simply free-verse. But all the structures don't have to be the same traditional ones, and this one is wonderful, showing how much more there was to Galadriel's message than appears on the surface. Wonderful!

Both lush and poignant. You handle imagery with fine skill and sensitivity.

Wow...so strong and vivid. The imagery is simple and fitting. Great use of language and thought and emotion throughout. ~~~{~@
