The Three Towers  by shirebound 28 Review(s)

Now, if that isn't a coincidence! I just thought it would be a perfect day with an update of "The Three Towers", clicked on the link and behold - there it was! Real magic ;-)

“Besides, most of my cousins are quite mad, Alcaren,” Merry continued. “It makes for an interesting family.”

“Now wait just a minute,” Pippin spluttered, as Frodo and Sam nearly fell over with laughter.

LOL! That's funny! Pippin and Merry do a great job here. Maybe, they don't even recognize how much they are helping. It must have been a shock for Frodo and Sam to see Minas Morgul again, and the stairs! But their friends found a way to distract them. Let's hope they will be able to do so again, when they reach the tower. It's obvious that both, Merry and Pippin had not understood fully what Frodo and Sam went through until they saw it with their own eyes.

Sorry I haven’t reviewed for a while...school...lol
Wow, I never realized how much Aragorn and Frodo have in common.
I can’t wait for your next update. I do hope when they get to the tower, that Frodo will be all right. (Well as much as you can be giving the circumstances of his journey).
Yet there is also the part of me who loves angst too much (not a bad thing necessarily) :)

Lots of love

You do such a lovely job here of conveying that Frodo has what we would call PTSD, and his cousins are so marvelous at bringing him away from his darkest thought.

And Pippin's lovely diverting dinner-time challenge - I just want to squeeze him. :)

This was a very good chapter. Poor Frodo is really going to have a hard time of it, judging by that brief stop by Minas Morgul.

I love the way Pippn and Merry are so aware of Frodo, and Sam, and the gloom that can be caused by recalling the events of the Quest. They really are a blessing to the Ringbearers.

That was a clever little game Pippin came up with. Frodo and Aragorn really do have a lot in common.

Keep up the good work.

GT.

Oh lovely...I just love the way you write with a light touch in the midst of all the angst and what not. I try to do that myself. There's a name for it--chiaroscuro, or however you spell it, light against dark--you probably know it already. Anyway, I can hardly wait till the next installment...goodness, Frodo sure is brave, I'd never do such a thing although I almost had him doing it myself. Gee, my muse usually gives Larner my discarded ideas, now she's giving them to you, fancy that;).....

Oh, the guessing game is an eye opener, I really like it! Pippin is very clever!

*braces self for more Frodo angst*

I've said all along that your writing is incredible. This chapter is above even your usual standard.

I think that as usual, you've managed to catch the characters perfectly.

“Besides, most of my cousins are quite mad, Alcaren,” Merry continued. “It makes for an interesting family.”

Heehee!! I love that! And I needed it, after the angsty quotient went up in the previous section. Thankfully you always manage to keep things equal parts angsty and fluffy :D
