Comfort  by Anso the Hobbit 23 Review(s)

Oh yes! This was so Sam! He wouldn't think twice about giving Frodo all the blankets, or anything else he had! Beautiful--and it shows that you *can* write other hobbits without Merry once in a while! (But not too often, I hope--he might get jealous!)

Yes, blankets and other snugglies are so important to youngsters. I remember my son had a pillow--named "Pillow", of course--that he completely wore out.

I love that Merry still takes around the blanket, even when visiting. And the part where Pippin immediately *knew* it had been Frodo's blanket was so sweet. He does know his Merry so well, and yes, he loves his Frodo too!

And the ending, where Merry found something else special to cuddle up with was just *nice*! (And I mean that in a *very* good way!!!)

Author Reply: Thank you for such nice words! :D I had a bear I cuddled to pieces when I was little. It lost its head several times and also the eyes and an arm, lol. Sadly enough it is thrown away now.

I didn¨t give the hobbits age in these fics, but I think Merry would indeed take it with him yes, at least for osme years.

I adore this! I totally adore it! There are so *few* little Merry&Sam fics, yet, it so makes sense that they would be friends and playmates whenever Merry visited Bag End. The thought of the two of them all snuggled up by the fire just makes me melt.

Author Reply: Thank you! :D I think it is quite natural that they would be friends too actually and played as often as Merry visited at Bag End.
