I really liked the idea of these two understanding one another's position as youngest. Also, there were several nice bits here. One of them was when Pippin said three hobbits and a ranger had passed. I loved that you didn't tell us when it happened! I also liked Legolas's revelation that the elven realms differed. This was a good read, Bodkin. Author Reply: Thank you. It was an impulse piece. And of course there is a lot of difference between being 28 and not yet of age and x hundred, of age and a warrior. But it must still be frustrating to be so much younger than virtually everyone else. And know that you're never going up the pecking order! I wonder if the hobbits make it to Mirkwood one day. Then they will have visited all the remaining elven realms. It would be interesting to hear their thoughts on them. | |
