A most insightful and compassionate bard! It's interesting to see the hobbits (and the king) through his eyes. I'm working on a story myself about Frodo returning to the tower at Cirith Ungol -- with his friends -- to sort out some vague and confusing memories of what happened there. I find that whole time period fascinating. Author Reply: Oh, cool! Am looking forward to reading that, Shirebound. I've seen folks take them back to Henneth Annun; but to go all the way up to the Tower of Cirith Ungol would be really interesting--and creepy. I still wonder whether or not Shelob truly recovered, and if so, how long it took to do so. And it's always interesting to see folk we already know and love well through the eyes of others. But after mentioning Faralion and writing him into Lesser Ring, I had to explore his earlier interactions after the War of the Ring. | |
