Poor Frodo. Poor Pippin. Poor hobbits. Poor Boromir. Poor Aragorn. Poor... all of them.

I think I'm having second thoughts of being part of the fellowship. It would sorta suck... yea. It would.

I'll just stick to being one who can read about their pains XD

Aaaahhhh. The bits with Pippin were just precious. Aragorn is right, that rock didn't stand a chance.:) Very little does against that sweet little hobbit.

You know, I don't think Boromir even has a clue that the Ring is trying to seduce him. It preys on one's worst fears, or greatest ambitions, and it's victim never knows what even hit him, or her. Watching his slow slide into the darkness is making me a little more simpathic to him, just a little.

Thanks for the update. Looking forward to more.

Garnet Took.

After reading the last three chapters in a row, I must say, I'm really impressed with your Boromir! So devoted to the hobbits and as concerned about Merry and Pippin as Frodo is. The ring is constantly working on him, with more and more success, I fear. We know, to what end this process leads, and I always feel so sorry for Boromir. But that's the way the story goes, and you write it wonderfully :)

I've been reading your responses to your reviews Shirebound and I am with Larner - I love both your dialogue and your detail. I have always felt for Boromir and you are making his desire for Frodo to go to Gondor even more plausible.
My favourite bit is...
I would have liked to bring something more to my father than the answer to a rhyme and the rumor of a king.

Aragorn felt the small hand in his slowly relax as Pippin fell back to sleep. He gently tousled the curly hair and smiled. "You scamp," he said softly. "That rock didn't stand a chance against you."

Squeeee! *melts* I love your Aragorn so much! The Pip-comfort was lovely as I expected and I'm enjoying all of Frodo and Boromir's conversations. Your Boromir is wonderful too...I love how you show his desire to protect - the hobbits, the people of Gondor - with that undercurrent of danger, that his protectiveness could go too far (which of course it does).

I like seeing the conspiracy of hobbits, to get Aragorn to take more rest. And Frodo taking care of Boromir!

Poor Boromir. It's the Ring, working on him, isn't it?

And Pippin h/c! Very deftly done. I liked this, especially:
"That rock didn't stand a chance against you."

Poor Pippin, but I guess it could have been worse. And Frodo, the thought of his cousins in Mordor, knowing that they chose to come with him is just heartbreaking. And seeing Boromir slowly going mad cause of that darn Ring! *gives Boromir a hug* Though he might need one.
