Oops! I must go back and read the prequel, though I'm glad tha I was able to follow this without the previous background!:-) It is amusing to see these poerful people in their day-to-day affairs, and particularly taking care of their children... The startled hobbit! you're wicked indeed! The contrast between Aragonrn and Faramir's settled, calm and happy family life and the dead child, though, gave me pause. The contrast was very well placed... Promising beginnings, with some grim pictures and promises of more grimness...and goriness! :-) I'll watch out!

Interesting beginning. I loved the interaction between Aragorn and "ada's little girl"; it's touching and funny. I hope we'll see more of Faramir. Can't he help Aragorn with all the diplomatic correspondance - Faramir is Steward, and helping Aragorn is his job, well, one of his jobs (the other being ruling Ithilien)...

A very interesting beginning with many familiar faces and names. Your forward, however, sounds rather ominous. I already don't have a good feeling about Thanos. Looking forward to more!

I remember reading "House of Telcontar" on another site and loving it. I am very pleased to see a sequel and can't wait to read more.

I liked the contrast between Aragorn's secure little family, where jokes can be made about bland porridge, and the hopeless family burying a child in the next section. Thano doesn't seem to be going hungry though. The name Nasir rings a bell. Was he in the previous story?
