Paradox of the Fourth Age  by Alassante 98 Review(s)
pipinheartReviewed Chapter: 7 on 11/20/2005
This is so lovely.... You have to feel the pain Elrohir is going through, he feels he should have died instead of Arwen, ans Elladan is upset he didn't share it.

Laureanna is put in a tough spot no-one she knows and you know she feels alone. Gimli is very suspicious of her, but Legolas wants to protect her as much as he can... She dreams what could come to pass, but is it really a dream is it something or someone trying to scare her away from her quest...

It seems Elrohir is cold and arogant when she sees him again, and she puts him in his place...good for her...It seems he likes her and thinks she is familiar, that will come in handy for her..

Please continue, can't wait till you update...

I'm really enjoying this story. Laurëanna's pain when she confronts Elrohir again/for the first time is very sad - as is his confusing sense of familiarity. I also liked the flashback to the battle with orcs at Rivendell, and Elrohir's growing recklessness in battle :(

I'm looking forward to seing more of this complex situation.

I love the segments with Laureanna and her parents and the life she had before... I was afraid legolas wouldn't believe her, and she had to be mean to Gimli...
She is scared and she has a burden to carry and guilt if something goes wrong..
Gandalf at least felt something about her that was true...

Please continue...

*sigh*

I suppose it was time to get on with it and have Laureanna go to Helm's Deep. If you didn't do it now, the pacing of the story would be off.

But I shall miss hearing about the relationship between Indil and Glorfindel. How sad to think that the life they had together will no longer exist. :(

I am looking forward to the rest of the story, though.

Author Reply: Don't worry, I will still show Indil and Glorfindel's past in the flashbacks and who knows what the future will bring! :0)

Author Reply: Lianna - you left me a review on AFF on the most recent chapter but I didn't have an email to respond to you. Please email me (alassante7@yahoo.com) and I will answer your question.

I love the scense with Glorifindel and his life with his wife and baby daughter, you can tell how much he loved her the dy she was born.

You feel for Laureanna as she is torn. Her love for Elrohir is strong and she is frightened. They find her in the city walls, and at first I thought she was in trouble when she asked for Legolas...
I hope all goes all right...

Please continue...

This is just great!
You can feel how everyone's emotions are tight...Elrohir finally gets his time alone with his wife... And she tells them all of the decisions.
I kinda like the fact that somehow maybe all of them are meant for each other and perhaps will find a way back to each other...
This is a real good story....

Update soon...

Author Reply: Thanks so much! Elrohir was very happy to be alone with her at last. hehe Glad you are still enjoying it.

This is lovely...Lauraeanna has son many that love her. Her father and Husband were pushing her but they are afraid. I am glad the choice was granted, even though things could change they have the knowledge of remembering her.
I feel for Elrohir, he is afraid for her and loves her so much...Please contine...

You do a great job in this chapter showing how the decision Laurëanna must make tears up the wonderful little circle of family and friends that she has in Valinor, culminating, of course, with that concersation between her and Elrohir. It is especially poignant in contrast with the beginning of the chapter where we see exhausted Glorfindel and Indil arriving in Valinor and experiencing hope that we know is destined to be destroyed. Angst!

Sorry to be so late reviewing this--you know how insane the last week has been for me because you heard the rants. :-)

Author Reply: No review is too late. Hopefully no author reply is either hehe
