| I've often felt that Thorongil and Denethor would make great slash partners-er-have felt an urge to friendship-that probably twisted quickly to jealousy on Denethor's part. They had a lot in common, and I don't mean Ecthelion's paternal affection. Author Reply: I agree. Showing that is exactly one of the goals of this drabble. The challenge was--do it in 100 words!! | How wonderful! It makes perfect sense that Aragorn would consult with Bilbo about Gollum. Author Reply: Yes, it struck me too that it must have happened that way. After all, Bilbo was the only person who had actually seen him, so Gandalf and Aragorn would have to consult him. It follows, then, that Bilbo was aware there was more to his ring than he at first thought. Thanks for reading! | |
