This is wonderful. I love your Merry, and his being so attentive to Halbarad, and the dialog is perfect. I can almost hear their voices speaking. And you built the tension so well, with Frodo falling ill, and now we must wait for new of his condition, and hope they can keep him safe. Lovely chapter.

I'm afraid I'd be fat if I lived in the Shire. It would be so tempting to be gluttonous! Those poor Rangers had better see Frodo well and get out of there, or they may lose their ability to be light on their feet through miles of woods! <>< Saved from sin through Christ, MJ

and the frodo angst kicks in! something tells me the others won't find it as easy as keeping an eye on him! lol! well, at least he has the best ranger in the world by his side (and the best dog too!)

“Don’t forget what a mighty warrior he is,” Thalguron added, amused by the fact that Aragorn seemed suddenly to find the ceiling most interesting. LOL! Well, they did everything to lock Frodo inside the house, but still, there is this window. At the moment I have no idea where this will lead to. But I like surprises :)

Mea Culpa! I don't appear to have left you a review for the last chapter - and there I was doing my best to be a good reader. Sorry I slipped up! Does anyone *really* think that Fodo is going to stay in that room - even if the window is hard to open? And *what's he got in his pocketses? We wonders, yes we does my prescousss!*

Hmm. On my second read, I'm noticing that window in Frodo's bedroom. Hard to open, eh? ;-) I'm guessing that I know where this is leading . . . Well, when Frodo suffers a whole, whole lot, and Aragorn and Bilbo have to work hard to keep him alive, I happily follow where you lead! Carry on, I'm right behind you!

Yay! I was standing and watching down the road for this chapter to appear. And it does not disappoint . . . Frodo is starting to feel the effects . . . it is fantastic! Thank you, thank you! I just love a woozy Frodo being carried to bed by a handsome Ranger. Large, frequent servings of pain, delirium, anxiety and comfort, please! I love the good manners and the courageous hearts of your hobbits. It's a lovely contrast and I think it's one of the things that makes Q-land the special haven that it is. Bilbo, Frodo and Merry always give their best, and they are always so thoughtful of others. Would that the whole world was that way. And of course they are loyal. Nothing showcases their love like a crisis for Frodo! I'm going to go back and reread the whole chapter. I love it. Bravo!

Halbarad's recovering, but Frodo's feeling dizzy! Yay! *claps hand over mouth* I mean, how awful! I'm not enjoying it in the least! I like additional!Rangers who can tease Aragorn and learn about hobbit culture. I blame you, shirebound, for my fondness for ill!Rangers recovering under hobbit care. Beats all the medical TV shows, doesn't it?

Another great chapter! I love seeing the hobbits look after the Rangers but now poor Frodo is going to need the looking after. I espeecially love how Aragorn called them "jewels among hobbits." They certainly are! :)

We will keep a close watch, and no harm will befall him. LOL! Famous last words! At least no harm will befall him that a quick-witted ranger can't get him out of, yes? ;D Have I told you lately how much I love this universe?
