| Oh, but Estel will get it. Either he begins to understand or Elladan and Legolas will *make* him understand. There are all kinds of courage. One of my cousins thought I was a coward and chicken because I wouldn't go on a carnival ride w/him and another one of our cousins. To say she got ripped a new one by our other cousin is a huge understatement. I'm legally blind and due to the damage done to my eyes by my eye disease, I have no depth perception. So, understandably fast rides are not my favourite things. However, as my other cousin informed the one who called me chicken, she wouldn't be able to handle the stares, the rude and stupid behaviour and the looks of fear I'm given by other people to me when they see my white cane. People do unbelievable things over what is basically a three piece metal rod, w/a golf club handle as the fourth piece, wrapped in reflective tape and w/a plastic tip at the bottom. I am looking very much to seeing Elladan and Legolas educate Estel in what courage truly is. Author Reply: Well, I don't have any vision problems and I still don't like the really fast rides, so don't feel bad...different strokes for different folks! I'm sorry that people can be such idiots with you, though. Some people are...well...stupid. I'm glad to hear you can handle it, though. Your cousin is right--courage comes in all shapes and sizes! | |

| Aaarrggh! Estel, you dimwit! Thank goodness, Elrohir is out of the cave. And I'm glad for Belmandren too. He did what was right and earned some redemption, I think. But I think Estel may need to be dangled off a cliff for a while and then asked how he feels about heights. Author Reply: LOL...I think it just might work, but somehow I don't think Elrond would approve of that kind of lesson. I'm sure some day Estel will be afraid of something and appreciate the lesson he's going to learn, but in the mean time he is being kind of a putz! | |
