Cell Block Tango  by Saoirse 16 Review(s)

Hilarious!!! Anyone who has ever had to put together a child's toy on Christmas Morning will totally understand Pippin's frustration-- although I LOVED the way Diamond brought peacefulness back to the household with the greatest of ease! Great Job!

Author Reply: See? If Pippin just listened to his wife more, then the catastrophe most likely never would have happened. (I'm sure Pippin wanted to play with the toy himself -- what other reason could there be for willingly setting up a toy so annoyingly complex? lol) I'm really really glad you liked it, thank you so much for reading! :)

This made me laugh out loud! I loved it and I kept thinking, mix them together, mix them together and he never did. LOL Just great!

Author Reply: Thanks GW! I feel sorry for poor Faramir, having to suffer through his father's lack-of common sense with the situation. Well, Pippin did *try* at least, and that's what counts, lol. Thanks for reading! :)

Oh, now that was a very big mess. Poor Frodo! I doubt he will listen the next time either. I have done the same thing when in the middle of an exciting book.Folks simply shouldn't talk to him while he is trying to read. I loved Pippin's reaction to it all.

Author Reply: I know it! People just don't seem to understand that when you are reading, no matter what anybody says to you, you aren't listening to them at all -- that's one of the fun things about reading! I suppose Frodo is going to have to shut the door and lock it next time he wants some peace. Thanks for reading!

I laughed out loud at this one. Poor Merry up in the tree and then suddenly down out of it. Seems Sam is raising a troop of wild ones, isn't he? Lucky for him that Rosie knows what they want. I did think it was funny that Pippin Took was slightly amused by it all. I am guessing that he remembers his own adventures at that age. Looking forward to more!

Author Reply: Well, having thirteen children must be rather unlucky in itself, I should think... I sure wouldn't want to have to babysit that clan. There are always two things you can count on to control children: 1) their mother 2) food. (And most of the time the latter is more successful... as long as there is some sort of unhealthy element to it -- or rather that it is 100% sugar and you can't pronounce any of the ingrdients) lol I'm so glad that you liked it, GW!

I know that I am always up late at night writing, and sometimes, when you can't sleep and it's driving you out of your wits because it happens so bloody (ahem) often, you just need something to make you laugh! So, thankfully, I can always rely on Sam I'm thinking, lol. Thanks for reading! :)

ADORABLE STORY! Very, very clever beginnings! I love the second chapter especially! I have a feeling I know what "uh-uh" is going to be, but Cicero and Lipschitz? Hopefully nothing to do with "Number 17, the Spread Eagle"! Lol. Yes, I have seen Chicago waaay too many times! We did the Cell Block Tango for the talent show last year. I was Cicero! Good luck with your story and keep up the great work!

Author Reply: LoL! Well, I am *so* happy that you liked this! I'm really glad you liked how I've started it out... I couldn't help but think of all sorts of situations (/dilemmas) to get our favorite hobbits in while listening to the Chicago soundtrack! Thanks a lot for the feedback! :)

I loved it! I have also seen Chicago way too many times and own the sound track. I look forward to seeing how you work in all of the rest of this. I loved how easily Diamond distracted Faramir and Pippin's frustration with the directions and the toy. Simply wonderful!

Author Reply: Thank you GW! I was listening to the soundtrack the other day, and that is how I thought up the idea for this. I can only imagine how Pippin managed to reckon the patience to even start putting together that toy. (Although I am also quite sure he was probably following the directions wrong anyways lol)

I'm so glad you liked it :) I know that when I starting thinking up situations I was laughing to myself (something I am always doing), and people were staring at me like I was odd or something or the sort (how ridiculous! lol)

Anyways, thanks for reading! :)
