| This was wonderful. I expected to see the hobbits discussing them and was pleasantly surprised when Boromir told his little story--that part was very well done. But I was just thrilled when Gimli chimed in. That was completely unexpected and in character. I love how a little discussion of mushrooms shows so much about the fellowship. Great job. | I loved this scene. You captured the fun of the moment while giving us a look at the different customs of men, elves, dwarves and hobbits...and a wizard. Funny how shared food can bring us all together. I liked that everyone was willing to try preparations of the mushrooms other than what they were used to. I was pleased that Legolas didn't turn his nose up at the mushrooms considering his experience with 'death-hats'. The mushrooms of his home would make anyone think twice about consuming 'any' sort of mushroom. Cooperation of the Fellowship in such a simple thing showed us how open they were becoming with one another. Just delightful. Karen Author Reply: Hi, Karen, and thanks for reading. | I loved this! "On the Quest" fics, especially with the whole Fellowship bonding and sharing, are some of my favorite stories to read. I'm not wild about mushrooms myself, but the way you write about them makes me hungry! Author Reply: Thanks, Shirebound!
