Excitement!!! You gave me an Aragorn and hobbit interaction :) (I don't use / so no one gets the wrong idea.)

Author Reply: I never planned for Aragorn to be in this story, but he snuck in at the last minute! Glad you enjoyed it!

Ah, I am so glad that you added in the vision of the line of Kings. A very satisfying ending.

Author Reply: Thank you so much! I found the hobbits' 'vision' to be a fascinating part of the story that was never expanded on.

YAY for happy endings! This was wonderful Janet! You do creepy very well when you have a mind to. :D

Author Reply: A happy ending... from ME? *grins* I'm so glad you enjoyed this story. Just the thought of writing it made me nervous for a long time.

Very well done, indeed.

"Worthy companions" -- I quite agree!

I was intrigued the the hobbits' vision. And nice to think Tom "knew" somehow what had happened.

Author Reply: Thank you very much. I didn't remember that all four hobbits had that 'vision' until I re-read the chapter in research for this story. What a unique experience! I still don't know if they were seeing Elendil or Aragorn, but that's part of the fun.

Bravo, Bravisimo!!! Wonderful:) Totally mavelous and wonderful!!! Thank you for telling the tale :) (I so glad the wallpaper pleases you :) enjoy! )

Author Reply: Thanks, Pearl! I really hesitated before beginning such a 'dark' story (which of course ended in fluff, what a shock), but it taught me a lot!

Ohhhh, that wallpaper... bliss.

:D

A wonderful ending! I love how their vision in the barrow comes to reflect their friend. The bit about Aragorn naming his children after the hobbits was just terrific! I'm so glad you wrote this story, it was enjoyable from start to finish! :)

Author Reply: Thank you! I don't know *where* that ending came from, but it just started writing itself.

:D

Perfect ending to round out the story and bring in the meaning of what the hobbits saw at the Barrow!

Author Reply: Thank you so much!

“Meriadoc Telcontar”
*ROFL* Merry is right about the name... isn't truely fitting :)

I loved this tale, especially how you handed Tom Bombadil. I'm always scared when it comes to writing elves or Gandalf or any other member of the fellowship and I guess I would never dare to write anyone like Tom - and never would he be as well characterized.

Very well done!

Author Reply: Thank you, Lily. Writing Tom was more daunting to me than writing Barrow-wights! It's fun to stretch ourselves and see what we can do.

Cool chapter. I always hate to see a good story end, but all things must.

The idea of the shared vision was probably one of the neatest ideas I've read. I always thought that Frodo and Pippin were gifted with some special ablities, but the idea that all four of them were so blessed, or cursed, is intriqueing. The reason I say cursed is that such a gift can definitely be a double-edged sword.

As for other authors writing about these gifts that the hobbits may have, I have a story sitting unfinished on my hard drive that deals with Pippin and his talents. Hopefully I'll finish it sometime. This is a subject that I have thought about since the first or second time I ever read TTT, and that's been quite a while ago.:)

Thanks for another great read.

Author Reply: Thank YOU! And Connie, I hope you'll let me know when you unleash your story! I've been fascinated by the subject of the hobbits' unique 'abilities' since "Mind to Mind", and would love to read more about it.
