It Takes a Took  by Dreamflower 11 Review(s)

“Ah, my love! But the real ones are vanquished, and I can be so proud that you helped to do that.” She laughed. “Why, when you have a bad dream, I can truthfully tell you there are no such things, because you slew them!”

That Estella is a smart one. I love her reasoning. I also liked Pippin's response when Merry asked what he wanted for breakfast. So true the Took appetite. I'm glad though that Rosamunda both figured out what was going on and had the grace to go along with it. She might not be quite as bad as everyone thinks she is.

Author Reply: Estella is proud of Merry, and wants him to know it, and also wants him to be proud of what he did--reminding him that he did his part in removing from the world the evil that haunts his dreams is one way to do that.

Well, can you imagine Pip saying anything else,LOL! (Why would you ask any hobbit, especially a tween, to *choose* *one* food?)

Rosamunda is not stupid, nor is she heartless--as I've said before, she is merely shallow. And she is not averse to being manipulated if it gets her what she wants as well. Like a new wardrobe from Pearl's dressmaker.
