The Golden Bell of Greenleaf  by lwarren 11 Review(s)
ManderlyReviewed Chapter: 11 on 1/25/2005
What an enjoyable chapter! There were so many little details to make it wonderful. The race, the subsequent feast where Legolas lorded over everyone, their encounter with the family at the Firien Wood. I had an idiotic smile pasted to my face throughout, well except towards the end of the chapter.

It was nice to see Legolas mischievous again. Remind me never to call him a pretty elf, though a pretty elf he is! Aragon must have been regretting his words as he spluttered his way though a skinful of water. Talk about rude awakening! The interaction with Anna was very sweet. I think Legolas would make a very good father. First there was Elfwine and now Anna.

So Legolas is off to seek the sea. I can't help but have misgivings about it. It is to be part of his cure, right? (fingers crossed).

Look forward to more, soon.

Author Reply: Thank you, Manderly! I enjoyed writing it...which led to that little A/N at the beginning. It was getting really LOOOONG, but I couldn't find any part that I could cut! Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I kind of thought a warrior of his skill might object to being called "pretty". And in my mind, he and Aragorn have been friends for a long time - long enough for Aragorn to know better! lol I liked Anna - she was one of those parts that just "appeared"! :-) I think Legolas needs several kids of his own, too! They seem to think he's pretty ok!

I think at this point, Legolas is being compelled to go to the sea, perhaps not as part of a cure, but part of learning his place in the Song. It's that which will help him endure the sea's calling until he can leave.

"...more, soon." Soon? Gee, I hope so! Thank you for such a kind review!
