Dear Diary  by Lily Dragonquill 103 Review(s)

Thank you for updating this! *giggles* I feel almost as tense as she does....this captures her feelings so wonderfully! Love it, fabulous, wonderful, etc!

Author Reply: You know, I somehow feel tense too :)
I'm glad you like the way I descripe her feelings. Since I have never been pregnant I am always happy when people find it believable.

Ahhhhhhhhhh . . . a tiny cliffhanger . . . why?? *faints* I can't wait for your next chapter, Lily! Your stories are really good!

Author Reply: Thank you so much!

"I am nervous, my little one, but I will try my best. Do not be too hard on your mother."

Don't be afraid Primula, I'm sure he won't ;-)

No boy's name yet? But Primula is right: a special hobbit deserves a special name!

Author Reply: Well, I think Frodo has been an exhausting child at times - just like every child is. But I'm sure Primula will do well.

Its been nine months, right? Yeah, nine month, nine chapters. You really do a good job at describing what Primula might have gone through. Really. You do. Keep up the great work! :D

Author Reply: Thanks a lot! This means a lot to me since I have never been pregnant :)

"Everything will change once the little one arrives. I will actually *be* a mother and not someone imagining what it will be like to be one."

How true! I wonder how many people feel that way!

I love that she wants to give a special child a special name.

:D

Author Reply: I'm glad you think that way.
The idea with a special name is partly thanks to Ariel who said that this particular paragraph needed a word or two more about the speciality of the name. :)

Oh, more please! Primula/Frodo-ness always makes me so happy.....I don't think my mind would be able to stand it if you didn't continue......I'd be content if you continued this particular story forever and ever and ever and ever...

Author Reply: Don't worry, I will continue! Though, I fear, not forever.

*loool* Oh, that was cute!! Arguing about the name! But I agree with Primula, I wouldn't like the names Drogo chose either. Well, the girls' names are alright, but the boys'...
It's a good thing I know they'll find a nice name in the end - and the best ever, in my opinion. I mean, Frodo is beautiful.

Author Reply: Frodo is beautiful.
Never heard a truer comment :)
But I agree, Frodo is one of the most beautiful names for a male in the Shire.

Well, I think "Folco" is a nice name, too. But I'm really curious, how Primula will end up with "Frodo" - and, of course, Drogo's reaction on it! He will like it, I'm sure!

Have you ever read "The history of the Lord of the Rings"? There you can see, that Tolkien, too, came not directly up with the name "Frodo". In the first drafts the name of Bilbo's air was "Bingo". But from the beginning on he was accompanied by a cousin and that cousin's name was Frodo. And his last name was Took, not Baggins. But after a time Tolkien decided, that the name "Bingo" was not fitting and he switched over to "Frodo". A wise decision!

Author Reply: I have read HoMe I, II and parts of number VI (the long comments in small letters sometimes just are too much for me) but... yes, thankfully Tolkien made up his mind about Frodo. Just the thought of writing stories about Bingo... *shudders*

Primula and I have quite the same taste when it comes to names and her despair about boy's names was partly taken from my own. Naming OC at times is more difficult than to give them a personality. Yet, every hobbit named Marroc, no matter how nice his character might be in another story will never gain my sympathy. :)

I never even thought to wonder how Frodo got his name! What a delightful concept.

Author Reply: Thanks!
The thought that Frodo's name would be certain from the very begining sounded somewhat unrealistic to me so I had to come up with some kind of discussion :)

ich shcreib mal auf deutsch. So eien niedliche geschihte.

Author Reply: Vielen Dank!
Ich glaub, ganz so selten ist das gar nicht, das Hobbits nur ein Kind haben. Merry war ja auch ein Einzelkind. Natürlich werd ich weiter schreiben :)
