| " Why, there’s nothin’ to it, Mr. Frodo,” Sam replied. He pretended to eat one of the tiny fingers, which set Pippin off into a giggling fit. “I was this lad’s age when Marigold was born, you know. I’ve had a lot of experience carin’ for a young tot.” " Oh, I just love living in the Shire. It's so much fun to go off on vacation and spend time doing fun things like this with all my darling hobbits. I will have to try this on my own tots. " “It wasn’t still winter last time,” Bell Gamgee said firmly, stuffing a warm cloak into the bag. “Early spring or not, just a couple hours away or not, you just never know, Samwise.” " OK, angst or water-rippling, whatever you want to call it, but I hope that these extra cloaks are a hint of h/c to come . . . especially for my hero the future Ringbearer . . . work has been so stressful lately, I need a double helping of this kind of lovin'-up! | I adore how you have made not only Sam, but especially Fwodo - ;-) - so very patient with wee Pippin. As I read the little convo about the ducks I couldn't help thinking: why can't a find a Fwodo to explain things to MY lads? Made my heart go pitter-pat, it did. And you have me salivating for Chapter Five. Such a pleasant little story; thank you for it! :-) | |

| Oh, this is great! I especially loved the conversation between Sam and his mother. '“You’re sunshine on the flowers,” Bell said softly, “you always have been. Mr. Frodo needs all the sunshine he can get..."' That whole part was so beautiful, and very touching :) | |
