Ahhh, a delightful story, Jenolas! I am quite fond of the insufferable peredhel myself, and also extremely fond (though in a somewhat different way -- but not 'til he's older... *ahem*) of Legolas... All three parents come across and kind and loving... just what an elfling needs to grow into Legolas of the Fellowship. Your story brightened by morning! Thank you! - Barbara Author Reply: You are welcome and thanks for the review.

How sweet of Legolas to want his father and his father's friend to make up. Very amusing too. I bet Elrond got a good chuckle out of Legolas's letter. Being a father himself, I'm sure the "insufferable Peredhil" would understand a child's actions. (I'm assuming that your Legolas is younger than the twins, at least.) I liked Elisiel handled his son's questions. She explained the situation in terms Legolas could understand and yet emphasized the temporary nature of Thranduil's anger. Legolas's excitement at receiving his first ever letter from another realm was a delight. I bet the letter he wrote back to Elrond was filled with a child's excitement. I would love to read that letter some time. Lovely little story, jenolas. :)

I simply adore little Legolas stories. I always thought of him as a very precocious child, and this story demonstrates that very well. We see so clearly here what a good heart Legolas has always had. Seeing him with his mother was lovely. It isn't hard to see where he got his gentle side from. I also liked the way Thranduil and Elrond handled the situation, using love and and patience, while also letting Legolas feel a bit of anxiety, to help the elfling learn a valuable lesson. The fact he wanted to write Elrond again and asked permission to do so was the perfect touch. Loved Elrond's signature, too. Wonderful story.
