Still anxious and waiting to find out exactly what this rite is. At least now I know it has something to do with the horses, though I figured that in the first place. Please update soon. :)

Author Reply: Thank you Eomer. Yes you are on the right track. I am on with the next chapter, and I hope you will enjoy. Eokat.

*Takes deep breath* Ah, Eokat. While I do enjoy the "romantic interludes" included in your stories and the stories of my other favorite authors, I fear you all are near to driving me insane, lol.

Anyway, I did not think Elfwine was so young in this story. Maybe I should have figured it out in the first chapter, but I imagined him as being somewhere around seven years old, and going to undertake this rite himself. Now I find he's a half-year old babe.

Oh well. It just makes me all the more curious to learn what exactly this rite is. How many more updates must I wait? Hopefully not enough to constitue cruelty. :)

Author Reply: Thank you Eomer. Yes I am being cruel to make you wait. Next chapter is finished, just being fine tuned before posting. I have a bee in my bonnet to finish this and then go back to orcs etc...although I have got two more plot bunnies whizzing through my mind for future stories. Eokat.

I thought that this chapter rang emotionally true. You could see the ups and downs in the relationship of two flawed people who really do love one another but come from different backgrounds. Nice work, Eokat.

Author Reply: Thank you Daw. I am glad you are enjoying this. Eokat.

But what exactly is the rite of passage? I can imagine a great deal, but can say nothing for certain. And Eomer and Lothiriel seemed to work out their differences on the matter extremely quickly, especially for being such strong-willed people, and I don't even know what they are arguing about. But, this was pretty good.

Author Reply: Eomer, all will be revealed in good time..you will have to wait. Next chapter will be up soon. Eokat.

Looks like an excellent start to a great story! Can't wait to read more. it is nice to see tensions and stresses in the interactions. Too many writers get sucked into the lurruve story that they forget the reality that happens when the honeymoon is over. Applause to you. And I can't wait for the next chapter!

Author Reply: Thank you, Blue Iris, this is an idea that just would not go away.Eokat.

Ok. Now you've got me curious. What is this ceremony?

I can see there might be some difference between the two cultures. The Rohirrim have always seemed to be a rather rough culture, particularly compared to what I think of as refined Dol Amroth, with it elven blood.

Author Reply: Thank you, Daw, you are just going to have to wait and see!! And yes I agree, I do often think that Gondor oft times looked down on their rather rustic neighbours and allies. Eokat.
