Home To Heal  by Clairon 30 Review(s)

Seven children! That is quite a brood! Though you compare Cirion to Eomer, I think there are also similarities to Boromir--and not just his skill at arms (though Faramir's son is rather more talkative, to say the least). I had to laugh when Faramir delivers the standard parental refrain of "who ever said life would be fair?" Trust an eleven-year-old boy to be delighted to find a pile of bones and rusty armor!

Actually, the previous two stories did not strike me as very movie-verse (except for the portrayal of the orcs). Poor Faramir, he couldn't imagine Denethor referring to him as "my beloved son." Uh,oh--now I think I know the source of the mysterious green light spell! But which of the palantiri? The Seeing Stone of Orthanc was given by Gandalf to Aragorn, who I presume still posseses it. Please don't make Faramir look in that other palantir and see Denethor's "two aged hands withering in flame."

This was beautiful! I felt so much emotion reading this chapter.

I eagerly await the next installment.

Oh good, the new chapter's up! I enjoyed the interaction between Faramir and Arwen, and later between him and Aragorn. Gutsy decision on his part to take on one of his worst fears. I also liked the flashback to his childhood and Boromir's role in the whole 'face your fears' bit.
cheers,
Maya

I've been waiting for a new chappie! Happy now! Faramir and Arwen make a great couple - too bad they're married to other people!

Faramir's gonna do something with THAT palantir - yikes!

Hope you post the next chappie soon.

Nice escalation of tension. The conflict shaping up between Arwen and Aragorn is interesting.

Aragorn is not winning any points with his wife, is he? Tsk, tsk.

I have the strangest feeling that Alatar is not going to be as easy to redeem as Pallando seems to imagine...

cheers,
Maya

I've recently found and now read all 3 stories in this series. I just wanted to let you know what a treat it is to discover a new author with interesting plots, strong characterisation etc. Looking forward to reading more of this.

Oh good, an update! I've been waiting to see more of the Blue Wizard and find out how the elfstones of Celebrimbor fit into this. Hmm, so the Easterlings are invading through Mordor? That would mean that either they plan to move the campaign through Rhovanion or through Ithilien... Just one quibble, though: ten thousand doesn't sound like a large enough force to threaten Gondor, especially with Rohan backing them up. Unless they don't want to attack Gondor at all, and are after something in Mordor itself?
cheers,
Maya

Great sequel to the other two stories! Wonder what the dream means. What, Eowyn's pregnant? Aren't six kids enough?
