More Than Cousins  by Pearl Took 33 Review(s)
Hai TookReviewed Chapter: 5 on 6/10/2004
Merry rding all night to get to Pippin only to not feel well in his room! I like the way Pearl wants to know everything and feels they will both come out of it alright. I'm glad Pippin's fever broke, again, but I hope those poultices work! Looking forward to more, thank you!

I feel bad for everyone. I hope things get better soon.

Go Pearl! I would read it too.

Poor Merry! No wonder he was so upset about Coming of Age! He is feeling a lot of pressure it seems. I'm glad he was able to talk to Frodo and I'm glad that Sam was eavesdropping (a useful talent it seems). I guess Pearl will be able to fit everything together, and I hope she is able to get Merry to the Great Smials! Looking forward to more!

Poor Pippin and Merry.
'Sam stood up a little straighter and lifted his chin a bit higher than usual. "No thank you, Mr. Frodo, I've got flowers I'm plantin’," he said then walked off with an indignant air.'
I love your Sam.

Poor Merry with the weight of the Shire on his shoulders or at the very least, the wieght of Buckland. And poor Pippin wondering what he has done. Loved Sam in this one.

Sounds to me like Pippin's got a nice right hook! Bless his little Took heart! It hardly seems right that these two kindred spirits are at odds with each other at the momnent. I can't wait for chapter three! Post soon!

"No, you said, 'You've not got the forks do you?' And I said, 'Yes.' "

"Which meant, yes you had the forks."

"No, it meant, yes, you're right I've not got the forks." Pippin was starting to look confused. "I thought that meant you had them, Merry."

They looked at each other, looked at the pie, then they just dug into it with their hands. - PT

My favorite lines!! My poor hobbits... Merry stressing out over being Master of Buckland and Pippin weathering his cousin's anxiety! I *LOVE* this story, Pearl!
