Sweets and Secret Ingredients  by Budgielover 23 Review(s)

I don't know about the destruction of the One Ring leading to the downfall of the Three and the decline of the Elven Realms. I reckon two little hobbits probably contributed considerably to the collapse of Rivendell!

The whole serene purposefulness of the Last Homely House has been turned on its head - it's fantastic! And it's not even as if they mean to do it!

That was just brilliant. It really made me laugh!

Frodo grinned up at him, eyes sparkling. “I should dearly have loved to seen Merry and Pippin as frogs. Just for a moment or two.”

Elrond laughed softly and looked over to where the young hobbits were taking their leave, bowing to Gandalf and his foster son. “Do not despair, Master Frodo. You have a long journey ahead of you, and somehow … somehow I think you may well have the opportunity.”

Now I'm expecting a story about this, of course ;)

Oh, that was hilarious! Thank you so much for adding another chapter! That was just the right thing to read for breakfast (with the tea set at a safe distance away to protect the computer screen) :-)

Sam was marvellous, as always. Protecting his master when he thought him asleep, then trying to ensure that Merry and Pippin would not go unpunished. One of my many favourite scenes was Merry and Pippin trying to get past Sam while Elrond gave Frodo a lecture about the advantages of his tonic. That one had me laughing out loud!

But Gandalf wasn't bad either. A very vivid display of what could happen to those who ignored Gildor Inglorion's warning: Do not meddle in the affairs of Wizards, for they are subtle and quick to anger. (especially the quick to anger part).

Hmm, I fear I could cite the entire chapter for favourite scenes ... so I'd better stop now.

OMG! I was laughing so hard my husband came back to see what was so funny! I thought the story was finished the first time, but this is hilarious!!! Hungover Frodo holding his cousins by the ears--(snort...wheeze...chuckle...tears) It's been a *long* time since I read anything this funny!

That was too funny! All of that trouble to apologize to Aragorn and Arwen in the first place! That everyone felt they must help Pippin in making something he very well knew how to make in the beginning! Elrond trying talk to Frodo and gettin distracted by Merry and Pippin trying to make an escape from Frodo! All the little problem in Rivendell, and Elrond's first thoughts being it was because of the hobbits and then deciding he couldn't blame everything on them. That Merry and Pippin rush to Frodo to protect them from an angry wizard was adorable, even though early that day they were running away from him! I do like how Frodo told Gandalf that he would not frighten his kin, and an angry Gandalf threatening "Frogdom" on them! Merry and Pippin apologizing and softening Aragorn and Gandalf sounds just right! All the little problems in Rivendell while they were there! How exciting! Thank you for such a fun story!

A glorious follow-up! I love how Merry and Pippin can bring mirth even to ageless Elves! And I love your provision of the healing touch of humor to all of your readers. Thank you!

I did not realize this was a continuing story. I read your second part this morning, and now read the first. Both equally entertaining. I need more drunk Frodo. He is so cute that way!!!!

*LOL* This is too funny, especially the results for Frodo. Are we going to see the effect it has on the others? :)
