Amazing. Loved Sam, he has really gained in confidence over the years. Your depiction of Galadriel is incredible.

Author Reply: Thank you. I'm flattered.

I really liked this! what a great idea that they can send letters - of course, it seems obvious now, but I hadn't thought of it before :) I loved the idea of old, grandfatherly Sam comforting the Lady of Lorien. I bet he would too; he's no where near as shy as he seems. Oh, and I liked the idea that Celeborn would give Gimli the letters rather than Legolas. Clearly they've made it up since Celeborn bit Gimli's head off for the Balrog news! I'm glad!

I loved the picture of Galadriel slowly getting less and less confident and radiant, and beginning to fade. It's nice to think that she's slightly less than invulnerable after all. And I'm really happy that the Twins went West after all.

Altogether a very satisfying, and beautifully written story. Would you mind if I was to put it on my website? I run a website devoted to Celeborn, and it's so difficult finding good stories about him that if I find a good one I leap at the chance to put it on there.

This is my URL in case you want to check the place out first:

Do say yes? Please :)

Author Reply: Feel free. I love your stuff. Oak and Willow - brilliant.

The image of Sam comforting Galadriel is perfect...he takes care of everyone, after all.

Author Reply: Thank you. I feel sorry for Frodo - all those heaps of hobbits comforting each other and he goes off to the West with dignified, non-tactile elves. I don't know how he coped.

That is a wonderful story, and about a topic I'd never considered before. I especially love Galadriel easing Gimli's arrival, and the sense of time you convey with her waiting... and watching the sea... Very nice!

Author Reply: Thank you. I am curious to know how they all coped with the Blessed Realm. It seems one of those places that would be better in imagination than in reality.
