Dispelling the Cold  by Jocelyn 14 Review(s)

I love the idea that it's all four of them, and still being treated as elflings! They may be older, but you can still see their younger selves peeking through - it's true, our personalities are firmed up when we are very young ... we just become "more so"! So, it seems, do elves ...

It's also great to see Legolas again as the modest-and-not-infallible-warrior-elf, I like that he is so unaware of his strenghts, so worried that he does does not measure up, and so loved by his father.

Thranduil's feverish jumping from concerned parent who wants the warmest nest; the most attention for his own offspring, to king who sees that his subjects receive the best possible treatment before his own son, is great.

Thank you, "Oh, The Places We'll Go!" and "A Little Nudge Out The Door" are favourites of mine, I adore a good series (I get fond of the characters and as long as the writer has an interesting tale or adventure to add to the mix, I'm *there*!), and this/these is/are :)

A new story - and complete! Wonderful. I loved this, the contrasting descriptions of the bitter cold, and the anxieties of the parents were great. I'm so glad they all made it back - as we learned the names of the novices, I was trying to remember who was in 'Nudge'!
