Your story is hilarious! A perfect blend of modern day, the classic Alice in Wonderland, and LOTR...and Sam worried about being late for Frodo...Oh man, I love this story! :D

Now, off to read the companion peice! ;)

Author Reply: May you continue to feel this way Merlynnod. More anon.

Orophins DottirReviewed Chapter: 1 on 3/9/2004
You dared to approach Galadriel? While she was reading about Sinda-Boy (® Celeb)? *The Dottir pins the crossed beech leaves medal on Lindorien's tunic. Mirkwood awards this only for blindly stupid courage with no seeming point to it. It seems to go mostly to Gondorians goaded by their fathers.*

THIS is very funny. Love Gimli the pooch.

Ah, yes! Faramir’s near fatal charge
When heedless into orcs did barge
Without a thought or even plan
Except to kill them to a man.

I’m honored that you find my fic
At least as silly as that bit
For silly is the watchword here
Fueled by fun and lots of beer.

Maeglin the TraitorReviewed Chapter: 1 on 3/9/2004
Maedhros' lips are quivering as he reads aloud the dialogue to his beloved brother Maglor. He starts to chortle. Then, he starts to rumble deep in his chest and bursts out in insane laughter as he reads Lindorien's prose.

Maglor glares at the Scribe. She is always doing this to his poor brother.

Maglor Elf! Please stay your hand!
I only write what my soul demands!
At least that's the excuse I give.
I hope you will still let me live.

A hopeless mortal mere am I.
Not worthy to even dare imply,
That ever I could raise a smile,
Or act in ways involving guile

Forgive me for Fair Maedhros' laugh!
'Twas a mistake! An ENORMOUS gaff!
It shalt not happen e'er again,
If I ever get out of Lorien.

Oh dear dear dear, whatever shall Alice do next?

Well, she could have an accident with really big bad-tempered mellyrn leaves. And of course, meet up with Elladee and Elladum, the twins of Middle-earth Wonderland.

Or she could just continue on her wide-eyed adventures, rending the fabric of spacetime and making everyone fall over with laughter. Such is her goodness!

Author Reply:
THIS belongs in the companion story.

Actually -- I was sorta saving those two for For-a-fee and Bor-e-dom. I'm a leetle bit concerned that that verse might not be suitable for children.

I could also go with Elevate and Masticate?
Havabir and Anotherhir?
Litigate and Littledone?

I shall stop before Nilmandra sends me a virtual pink slip and tells me to take my stories and hie myself hither.

Very nice, dear lady, very nice! you sound a fine Alice. I must go and read Alice again now.

Author Reply:
Oh please do read it! Then will you be a dear and tell me what to write next?

I've lately discovered something most vexing about writing. Once one finishes one chapter, one must write another and then once one writes that next chapter one must write yet another. One must start at the beginning and write chapter after chapter until one reaches the end.

Only then might I stop.

Had I realized that, I would have just kept watching that ER rerun.

Kitt of LindonReviewed Chapter: 1 on 3/7/2004
Okay...hello, Lindorien.
Dearie me, you find yourself in the oddest of situations. I have not read Alice in Wonderland in a long time, and only vaguely remember it. So how shall you end up, I wonder.
I hope the cute blond guy who shot all the arrows does not kill you. For I know quite a few folk who were in odd situations as you, and they always ended up a pincushion after coming in contact with him.
(Oh, if you see a bearded fellow smelling strongly of sea and wine, by the name of Cirdan, tell him Kitt is innocent!)

Author Reply:
i wonder how I shall end up also...

Oh! You mean the story! I wonder how that shall end up likewise. By chance have seen a stray plot or two floating past? Perhaps at a tea party? I am in desperate need of a plot.

I don't think the cute blonde guy who shot the arrows is planning to kill me. As far as I can tell, the guy I am thinking of is not in the story the chick in the waiting room was reading. I am just a leetle bit concerned about the chick in the waiting room might be looking at me with murder in her eye.

Must go. I'm late, i'm late for a very important date. No time to say hello/goodbye, I'm late, I'm late, I'm late.
