| Oh my goodness! I feel like slapping them both myself! lol... There is so much miscommunication! I love how you can write both parties confusion without any confusion for the reader! I think I would confuse myself horribly, but you pull it off wonderfully... Even though I don't really like Cothion... I must say that I did feel bad for him. And yet another chalk up to miscommunication and misunderstandings. And two completely different cultures trying to work everything out (shakes head) Once again I applaud you for keeping everything, everyone and everyplace straight and in order! And hopefully another chapter soon?? :-D Author Reply: I feel like slapping them all the time, though that is also due to too much stress. Sorry for passing it on through this crazy couple. :-D I see so many misunderstandings caused by people not listening that writing it was not as difficult as I thought. Not easy cause I still have to think through the responses and how they other person will hear it - but there is so much of it around us that RL provides many examples. I'm writing, I promise, but work is hell. I'm working 7 days a week but I will try to make it soon. | |

| These two are certainly good at finding ways to misunderstand one another, but you do a nice job of showing why. They come from different cultures with different assumptions, so it's easy to misread one another. Poor Thranduil. He must be ready to smack them both, although I suppose Legolas is the only one he'd feel free to really push around. He's too busy engaging in political maneuvering around Rhinure. Author Reply: Thank you for beta reading this for me and then reviewing as well. I really appreciate it. I sometimes channel my frustrations with the couple through Thranduil. Though, like me, he caused all this problem by making the offer in the first place. Poor Legolas (and Rhinure for she is not going to know what hit her). :-D | |
