Why am I putting myself through this? Rhetorical question. Your writing is lovely beyond compare. I suppose that is one reason. Your words are beautiful and the thoughts those words express so worth reading. Hertbreaking to see the heir to Aragorn taking up the reins his father loosed, to see the Evenstar dim and accept her final fate and to see the final two of the Fellowship begin that last journey. Nice touch the last arrow. Sigh.

AUGH!!! That was a great first chapter. Very clean but lyrical language. If fits Tolkien very nicely. I hate the ending of ROTK. Sometimes I can't read it because of the sorrow. I think that is what makes it so real to those who embrace it through out their lives. And here I am actually, willingly reading a ~more~ detailed account of what might have happened. Sheesh. Am I inconsistent or what? Thank you for this so far. I hope I can stay the course and read it all.

Hi ErinRua, I've told you this before, but this is one of my top favorite handful of stories -- and I've probably read at least a thousand LoTR fanfics. The friendship between Legolas and Gimli stirs my soul, after probably the dozenth time I've read this story. Your words are magic. And I am thrilled to see that you're putting all your works up at SOA. This is a terrific site, and made even better with the presence of your stories. Best regards, Barbara Author Reply: Such generous words ... eeps! Thank You is all I can say, though I'm starting to feel like a parrot, here, LOL! Thank you so much for feeding this writer's heart! And yes, this is a really nice site. I'm very pleased to have been allowed here and the folks I'm finding here are absolutely the best. :-)
