Wow! That was powerful! You have really brought this story into another zone entirely. From mystical and reflective, filled with beautiful and emotional revelations, to downright heart pounding. Will it evolve again? Onward!

A beautiful rendition of the history of Arda. Your tone eased into high style as Radagast told his tale. Very reminiscent of Tolkien himself and the way he changed his writing styles to suit the thing he was telling. Lovely!

Author Reply: Hi, Calime -
Thanks so much for all the reviews - I hadn't had a chance to check my mail, so I found all of them in a row and had such fun reading them! I'm so glad you're enjoying this story, and you're such a perceptive reader, it's really a delight to get your reactions as you go along.

What a terrible realization for Frodo--that he may have come into the hands of his executioner. Character development in the Orcs has been progressing very nicely. We are left uncertain as to who will choose which side at the end, excepting Lash, who seems to have the best innate heart of the three.

Gosh, this is good. How I love your giving Frodo a chance to show us his real grace. We get a hint of it in his final dealings with Sauruman, but you have really made his inner "light" evident.

A very satisfying, yet disturbing chapter. I loved Frodo stepping to the forefront to lay full claim to his past and his rightful honor, but the last scene really grabbed me. The Orcs obviously still have a long way to go, and I'm sure that even Frodo is not near as far along in his healing as he thinks he is. You are delving deeply into the nature of evil--its persistent corrupting influence as well as its ultimate demise. I love the moral sense you bring to "your" Middle Earth.

Unexpected twists and interesting new characters, your imagination is very fertile ground indeed. I enjoyed it immensely.

I just couldn't discipline myself to wait for the story at TORC, and I'm glad of it. Up to this point your quest has followed a winding, but emotionally satisfying path; now it is getting exciting! In this chapter you did an excellent job of uping the tension and then backing off again to let us suffer/recover a bit. ;) I love it! On to the next!

I haven't been around for quite a while, but now I finally found the time to finish this gem of a story, and the only complain I have that there are not enough tissues around! This was such an awesome journey you took Frodo and all of us on. And this ending is so sweet, so sad, so peaceful. I think I'm not done yet with crying...

This is definitely one of the few stories I will re-read over and over again.

Thank you so, so much for sharing your gift with us. *HUGS* :)

Author Reply: Thank *you* so much for such encouraging words, Nivina! I guess there can't be a more delightful thing for any writer to hear, than that someone thinks her story is worth re-reading - that just touches my heart and makes me feel all warm inside. God bless you.

Wow. I got up at 5:15 this morning to finish this story. I haven't cried so much on a story in a very, very long time. This is truly a gem and in my mind, Frodo will wander with Radagast instead of going to the Grey Havens. I loved the orcs and look forward to a story with Canohando and his future. Thanks so much for this wonderful tale!!

Author Reply: Hi Debowyn -

Thank you so much - your review really brightened my day. And I'm glad you got to love the orcs, because I have to admit that I did too... the little vignette I had in mind to finish Canohando's story has morphed into a many-chaptered novelette with no end yet in sight.

Wow! What a delightful, different story! I always thought Radagast was a sadly underutilized character to be a wizard, and you did an excellent job of fleshing him out. While on one hand it was sad that Frodo didn't get to make the journey West, on the other side it was good for his soul that he got to be part of the healing of Middle-earth, even the orcs. Thanks for sharing such an imaginative tale that no doubt the Professor himself would enjoy!
