"One had actually been an Elf (Noldorin, living in Salt Lake City); he had wished Legolas good luck and the aid of Eru. Legolas smiled slightly at the memory. And in addition, Legolas had managed to solicit about 800 dollars for various universities."

The idea of a Noldorin elf living in Salt Lake City! It is somehow oddly comforting to me. Not to mention extremely funny. There may yet be hope!

The descendent of Aragorn seems as cranky as ever. Will he be as scruffy?

Humble Scribe to his Majesty Thranduil

P.S.--If my own Woodland King doth reapper, tell him that there is the small matter of all that back pay he owes me since his disappearance. I have remained ever faithful, but the rent is still due each month!

Your Celeborn is quite amazing. It's nice to see him portrayed as other than "Mr. Galadriel" (as Marnie the Celeborn maven once called him!) He is anything but that.

It's truly hard to justify affection for such a kinslayer as Maglor, but there it is in me. I have always liked that misguided elf! Well, I also like Eol, so it seems to be a pattern with me!

Well done.

ELMO? Celeborn's grandfather is ELMO? *laughs hysterically* Someone in the regal lord's lineage had a definite brain quirk somewhere.

Loved the meeting with Galadriel and Maglor. Also, the way she has learned to control her frustration over the years.

Very good chapter.

Malgor's meeting with Galadriel was wonderful, and I can't wait to see where you will take their relationship.

That's all for this chapter.

Oh, yes, and I liked Gandalf with Sauron.

I think that will be all for today, I shall finish reviewing your story when I get some time again.

Until then, cheers!

(And please update soon!)

I do believe that it would be near impossible to sneak up upon any elf.

I liked watching Celebrian cook.

Lord Glorfindel on the phone! Heehee. :D

Poor, poor, GLorfindel...Run Gandalf, run! *Glorfidel rounds corner with knife*

Malgor! Aha, I was right! I loved reading his observations of the modern world, especially of the women's clothing. I feel very much the same as he in that respect.

Nope, English doesn't sound exactly beautiful. Just wait until he hears music...

Ick, Sauron's evil.

How, praytell, does the LAdy Galadriel still have her mirror?

Interesting thought on the "variations" on the theme, as opposed to reincarnation.

Son of Feanor...ooo...

Sorry that this review was so short, there wasn't much to say!

"Goodness, no!" Elladan pretended to be horribly offended by the question, but his eyes were full of mirth. "We are big 18,000-year-old peredhil, Legolas! We can fend for ourselves."

That made me laugh. :D

You have wonderful descriptions of Elronds' house.

"Mother, you should be ashamed!" Elladan said from somewhere over Legolas' left shoulder, laughter in his voice.

"Why do you not hug all the young Elves that come to your home like that? Is there something you have not told us?" added Elrohir.

Heehee. "you have not" ---there is a perfect example of why your elves are believable. They speak proper English.

Wonderful explanation of Dagor Dagorath. It is entirely believable. Very, very well written. I actually thought that you had taken it directly from Tolkien!

Ah, poor Glorfindel. He is always tormented by something...I do not envy his task of finding Olorin.

Bangledesh...I had to find that on a map once...somewhere in the middleish of the far east...I think...

I enjoyed Glorfindel feeding the apple to the goat. How very elf-like.

Haha..."An elastic band; Legolas and Elladan had spent a good deal of the evening before discussing at length the merits of such elastic products)." That's good. :D

"Does Lord Elrond take offense at Elrohir's shorn hair because he cannot fashion it in the traditional way? "

I'm curious. Does he take offense?

Question:Do Elladan and Elrohir have alias's as well as their father? Since their father and grandmother are such wonderful business people, would they not be some of America's most eligible bachelors?

Nope, you're right on the money with Gandalf.

S'okay, I like the braid thing. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise!

I always felt sorry for that drunk guard in the Hobbit...That was quite clever really, you pointing out that Legolas could perhaps hold his wine better than the other half elven.

Interesting that the captain could not meet "lawrence's" eyes for long.

"Many a summer before you." No kidding, eh?

I find it amusing that Legolas was so aggravated by his doorbell that he changed it from a buzz to a chime. :)

I'm sure you know this, but Elrond is the great-grandson of Luthien, who is 1/2 Maia. Elrond's sons, therefore, are her great-great grandsons. I have no idea how much Maia blood is flowing in them, however.

I love how the elves, old as they are, still retain some of their youthful attitudes. You have portyaed them well.

I find it interesting how much the elves admire the inventions of men. Most standpoints make them be disgusted with the new inventions. I enjoy their admiration.

Thank you for giving your elves proper speech! They do speak just enough AMerican to make it believable, but not so much so that you wonder when the elves learned to speak slang.

"Who was it that stuffed himself like a Hobbit at King Richard's table?" Hm. I would like to hear more of this incident. Obviously the elves have been around a bit.

I think you have a wonderful grasp on Legolas' personality. He is more of the Legolas from the book than the film, which is wonderful.

I agree, I think he is younger than the film portrays.

Well, that's all for this chapter.

I have decided to review each of your chapters. :-)

A fantastic beginning. Forever and a half... That's a wonderful phrase. I'm probably going to find myself whispering that sometime. :D

I'm glad that you kept both of the twins in the story. I can't imagine them separated. It's great how you have managed to give them separate identities, such as the earing and the hair. Also, Elladan seems more like the older brother, at least in this chapter.

Yes, I agree, I don't believe that the Professor pictured his elves ears quite as pointed as they have been depicted.

Hm...the eyes...so old and full of wisdom. What would it be like to meet an elf, I wonder?

Lovely begining.
