I'm sorry I haven't reviewed the other chapters!!! I just got so caught up in the story... and now Legolas has gone. It really isn't fair that the Valar torture him so. And poor Gimli. So shunned. At least he had the sense to accompany the Elf. Legolas wouldn't have lasted a week in his condition. Bitaliel amuses me. She's so funny. I don't recall, how exactly did Halbarad die? And nice tying that flashback in with Cantrip. Keep writing! Cheers!

I wouldn't mind your attention span but only if I got your creativity as well and then I would use your creativity to punish you for every single cliffhanger. Would you like to swap?

bryn,
Your descriptions of the Void were so well done. Mortsdil thoughts and welling panic at the nothingness, but yet, the confines of the dark space were eery. He's such a slug. Not that his companion is a little ray of sunshine. You give them such a dangerous, despicable,well...evil visage. Their dialogue has this sort of sly, infected (I do mean, infected...like a plague!) word play that fairly drips of malice. Morgoth is so happily evil!
Poor Legolas. His subborn Elven pride just will not let him admit to Gimli or to himself that he can't fight the sea longing with a well placed arrow. Gimli handles this well. The strength of this friendship is easy to see. I like the way you write their interaction. Good show. I'm reading on.....see ya next chapter. Karen
