I can certainly appreciate how Gail could, at times, resent her older children's schedules. But when one is in a city in which all have been on a war footing for generations childhood tends to be short.

Author Reply: Yeah, that's true, isn't it? And the circumstances that the older children have been through have forced them to grow up in a hurry. K.G.

So wonderful to see them fit into the framework of the story, even though some characters vary from their roles, before, for the better. And it looks like this trip has strengthened their faith. And working them into the canon framework that Dreamflower has already written is fun too.

Author Reply: It definitely has strengthened their faith, and I've enjoyed working with Dreamflower to draw on her head canon. KathyG.

Awww, Lucy's also made her own friends.

I'd love it if hobbits planned a party for me! I'm sure it's going to be delightful. And oh yes, I can absolutely picture Pippin using "the "sad-kitty" look on the face of Puss-in-Boots"!

Author Reply: Yep, Lucy sure has, hasn't she? =)

Pippin knows how to use that "sad-kitty" look when he wants to do some wheedling, doesn't he?

I wouldn't mind if some hobbits planned a party for me, either! KathyG
